The aerodrome has the most sophisticated communications, recording, and weather equipment. As to ensure safe IFR flights, input and output procedures were created that were compatible with that of the existing SIDs/STARs in the Lisbon terminal (TMA) using two radio navigational aid apparatuses, a locator NDB, and TVOR/DME.
